Michel Saad: Head Coach at Athletico - Horsh Tabet
Michel, how long have you been coaching at Athletico?
I am one of the coaches that have been at Athletico the longest as I have been coaching for 7 years at Athletico and this is just the begining!
What is your favorite football team?
Talking on a Euro cup level, I am a big fan of Barcelona, and I'll go [nuts] for Germany on a World cup level.
Who is your idol football player?
Ronaldinho has been and remains my idol player.
Do you have any hobbies besides Football?
Well sure, I like basketball as well swimming and hunting.
What is your best coaching memory?
I can say that my best coaching memory was with the Athletico U15 in 2012. They were a great team, with a great spirit and together we reached the championship. Those were really memorable moments.
What are your goals in football?
I am constantly seeking to develop my skills to a higher level. I attempt to do this looking at football abroad and in particular in Europe, hoping one day to take my career to this level. My next goal is of course getting my AFC coaching degree.
What do you like most about Athletico Sports Club?
Athletico's management is well organized which makes it a pleasure for working there. Most importantly though, it is the family spirit of the club which makes it this unique!
What is your secret for progressing?
I always surf the internet watching international training session and new coaching method and try to benefit from those on the field.
Who has been the greatest influence in your life and career and in what ways?
My dad. He was a football player and was the greatest influence in my life. It is also thanks to him that I played with first division teams when I was younger.
Finally, Michel,what's you favorite jam?
So I really like "The reason" by Hoobastank!
