8 Athletico Players at OL - France

On May 19th and after acing the multiple-rounds tests, 8 Athletico players flew to France to train with Olympique Lyonnais U13 and U14 teams.

They got the chance of a lifetime! At OL, they underwent training sessions planned and given by OL professional Coaches, experiencing the life of a professional European player. They met the Ligue 1 Team, visited the impressive Groupama Stadium, and got the chance to watch a live game of OL.
These trips really challenge our players, as they face a considerable amount of pressure in a new and impressive environment. However, the learnings that they bring back are invaluable: a trip to OL builds character, strengthens our players physically but mostly mentally, motivates greatly by being able to compare oneself to the top-level in the world, and results in a sense of satisfaction and self-confidence to know that hard work pays off.
This is what we aim for: for youngsters to live their passion, to be able to get them to work harder than they thought possible, to motivate them and get the very best out of each player, in order to shape all rounded players and men able to achieve greatness on the field and in their personal lives.
