Meet Coach Hagop Donabedian

Not Only a Coach but Also a Player!

Few are the Coaches who train and play at the same time, and Hagop is one of these rare devoted persons.

His passion for football goes beyond forming players, since he aims on sharing his knowledge, advice and experience with his players pushing them closer to professionalism.

Hagop has always played in Division 1; his career started at Homentmen for 7 years, followed by Al Nejmeh for 4 years, Al Salam Zgharta for 2 years, and the National Team for 5 years before returning to Homentmen Div. 2 till present.

Prior to Athletico, Donabedian trained the Homenetmen Junior Team, and at the AUB Summer Camp and Armenian School. He is currently coaching different age groups at Athletico Dbayeh and Athletico SJS.

On another note, Hagop likes to swim and sing. He admires Coach Alex Ferguson and his favorite football team is Manchester United.

Hagop believes that being highly dedicated to his job and always finding something additional to learn help him progress and form a higher experience.
