Our Goalkeepers' Coach Wahid Fattal

When did you start playing Football?

It all started when I was 5, my friends and I used to run from school to play street football or to watch football games. I kept on training at school until they saw my skills in goalkeeping and invited me to join Al Nejmeh, which was the first club I played in among many other important clubs in Lebanon. As I grew up, I started playing with Nabi Cheet, and then left to coaching at the age of 32 at Athletico SC.

What is your biggest achievement?

I played with the Lebanese National team in Asia Cup held in Qatar for the U16 category and was elected best goalkeeper. In addition to many other successes with Al-Nejmeh.

What brought you to Goalkeeping?

I had a talent, and when you have a talent, work on it, and improve it.

Casillas

How long have you been with Athletico?

I joined Athletico 4 years ago, I was very excited to work with the top football academy in Lebanon.

What do you love the most about Athletico?

Athletico’s friendly atmosphere. The Great Spirit and the fact that we are all one family.
